Keep Our Park Ecosystems Healthy with Forterra

Saturday May 19th

join us at 1pm

stay until any time until 4pm

at Hartman Community Park

(17300 NE 104th St, Redmond)

Have fun, do good, and get involved! Join the Green Redmond Partnership in Hartman Park for a fun morning of helping the forest and this great park. We’ll be removing invasive weeds to make room for trees and native plants to thrive. This event has something for everyone: roll up your sleeves and get some exercise, relax from the bustle of your daily grind by spending time under the park’s big trees, feel good knowing you’re helping to care for this neighborhood gem for the community to enjoy, spend quality time volunteering with friends or family, meet new neighbors, and help our environment thrive. Volunteers of all ages and experience levels welcome, gloves, tools, and training provided. Friends and family members are welcome but please RSVP for all members of your party to help us plan for a great event. Children under 18 must attend with a parent/guardian. If you will be attending with a child who you are not a legal guardian of, please email us for a permission slip the parent/guardian needs to fill out and send with the child.

What to bring: a water bottle, a snack if you want one, and tough clothes and shoes that can get dirty (because they will!), including long pants and a long-sleeved shirt to protect against prickly blackberry. Closed-toed shoes are required: work boots, hiking boots, or running shoes are all fine. Remember to check the weather and bring appropriate layers and rain gear or sun protection as needed.

Forterra works to secure places -- urban, rural, and wild -- that are keystones to a sustainable future for all. From wildlands and working farms and forests, to places in the city for affordable housing, parks and the arts, we work simultaneously across all landscapes because they are interconnected. And ultimately people and lands must all thrive together.
